Brooklyn based Samuel Pohner (aka Sleepyhead) delivers the strikingly moody and ice cold bumper EP, Motions. Sleepyhead started producing music in 2006 when he began working on mostly dubstep and bass music while he was living in San Francisco. In 2009 Sleepyhead steared away from dubstep and began focusing on the sounds of house, 2 Step and Juke. This time around, Trouble & Bass goes deep as Sleepyhead delicately interweaves gorgeous melodies with layer upon layer of space, time and beautifully unchartered soundscape. Sumptuous kicks, peaceful toms, wrestle uplifting pads and verbed out vocals. Clicks snips and snaps muddle together a feeling of heavy nostalgia and unexpected, heart throbbing downtime.
