Breathe. The quest for future garage rests here. Introducing Pixelord. Hailing from Moscow, Russia, Alexey Devyanin focuses on producing records that put pleasure into perspective. Basslines that ring, sump, float and dive between tangled flourishes of bleeps, squeaks, ’8 Bit Glitter’, glassy pads and crystal clear synths. Despite drifting casually between Dubstep, Hip Hop, 2Step and UK Bass ridden territories, his works remain intelligently soulful, with sparsly plotted 8 bit bloops and chipmonk vocal hooks. Keramika first caught my attention, a peaceful composition of rubbery sounds, chunky bass thumps and piercing rimshots. Be sure to jump on his soundcloud for extra beef, and support him via facebook too. Enjoy.
